Christmas Chez Keith 2005
Our tree is a Scottish Pine. It is really pretty this year. Fiona enjoyed "touching" the tree with Daddy's gloves.

Picture Frustrations
I got a phone call from JcPenny. Now, this is the kind of call that everyone hopes for.
"We are training our new photographers, and we would like to offer you a free photo shoot with two free sheets of prints. Any additional sheet that you wish to purchase will be offered at the discounted rate of $3.99"
I said I would come in, and signed up my daughter. I should say that I have taken her two times before (6 weeks, and 9 months), and the pictures were very good. I have not taken her since because I assumed it would be a total disaster. (She doesn't like strangers too much) Well, she was more cooperative than I thought, but they did everything that I told them not to. I said NO PROPS PLEASE. The photographer kept bringing prop after prop. These props are SILLY! So I kept taking them away, and the photographer kept bringing out MORE props. The whole session was frustrating to me, and I remembered again why I had not been there for over a year. I took her to some of our favorite spots around where we live, and took her picture myself. The only problem is that my camera is just a little dinky one. Sadly, I still like them better than JcPenny's photos. Too bad. Maybe I should reserve judgment until the pictures come in. In the mean time. Who ever thought that fake flowers, and silly toys make a kid look cute. If the photographer is good, they should be able to capture the "cute" in a child without the help of silly props. I will step off my soap box now.
